Harvest Moon ParadiseSpring Day 1- New Years Day Festival
When: Day 1 Every Spring except Spring Year 1
Where: Town Square Time: 6am to 6pm
This festival will not take place until year 2. It will then repeat itself every year after. The player has a couple options here:
1. They can just go up to Karen and talk a couple times which will cause the player to faint and the day will end
2. They can throughout the year gain their alcohol tolerance and try to outdrink everyone in the square. This will give a big affection boost to Karen if you accomplish this.
In order to increase alcohol tolerance you need to buy this bottle from Rick at the Flower Festival on Spring 23 (Can be bought any year including the first). It will cost 200G:
Then during the year go to the basement of this building at the vineyard. Go up the barrel and equip the bottle and drink from this barrel a few times a day.
By doing this you will be able to survive the town square and win the festival. Make sure to do this very often as it takes a lot of wine drinking to build up your stamina during the year to last in this festival.
