the beginning of Autumn. In Mineral Town, he has a proper cafe but in the
Valley, he sets up a stand on the beach where he serves junk food throughout
the summer. Oddly enough, his junk food can be quite helpful in terms of
energy restoration.
Popuri's brother Rick, who visits the Valley on Sunday, detests Kai. He is
very much aware of his sister's fascination with the wandering cook and is
determined to put an end to the romance.
Kai is the only 'Mineral Town Rival' who will visit the Valley even if you do

not connect FoMT or MFoMT to your game. Kai stays in the 'boys' guest room'

Rick:
Birthday: 27 Fall
Rick is Popuri's brother. Although in FoMT/MFoMT, Popuri often complained
that he allowed her no responsibility with respect to the business, in this
game, Popuri takes all telephone orders for poultry and poutry-related
products and presides over the Duck Festival. On Sundays when the Poultry
Farm is shut, both Rick and Popuri visit the Valley. Rick can be found in
the 'boys' guest room' on the second floor of the Inn at 6.00 a.m. on
Sundays.
Rick is in love with Karen, although there are no Rival Heart Events for Karen
in this game, so he cannot interfere with your courtship of her.

Birthday: 19 Fall
Trent is the Doctor in Mineral Town. He was Dr. Hardy's student before he
qualified as a doctor and if you insert a copy of FoMT or MFoMT into your DS,
Trent will visit his old mentor in the Valley every Wednesday when his clinic
in Mineral Town is shut. He is your rival for Elli, although he will not
interfere with your courtship as there are no rival heart events for the
Mineral Town girls. On Wednesdays, both Elli and Trent can be found in their
respective guest rooms at the Inn at 6.00 a.m. Later in the morning, they
visit Dr. Hardy together. In the afternoon, they explore the area near the
Goddess Pond on the west side of the river and waterfall.
