You can buy your sheep from Blue Sky Ranch. Unlike all other animals, the sheep won't give you its wool everyday. In fact, it's weekly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SHEEP ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ .1. You will need a barn. You can choose to buy a small barn which holds the four animals, or you can wait until you can afford to buy a large barn which can holds the eight animals. (Or you can buy a small barn, and later upgrade it to a large barn.) The small barn will costs you 3,500g, and 30 lumbers. The large barn will costs you 13,000g, and 80 lumbers. But if you chose to buy a small barn, so upgrade it to the large barn will cost you 10,000g and 80 lumbers. .2. You will need the proper tools so you can take care of your sheep. They are: Brush (800g) - So you can brush your sheep, and raises its affection. Clippers (800g) - So you can shear your sheep and get its wool Animal Medicine (800g) - It'd better to keep a medicine for emergancy use, just in case your sheep get sick and Blue Sky Ranch is closed. Your sheep CAN die from illness, so you need to take care. Reins (free) - After purchasing your first animal, you'll meet Hank later in the barn. He'll give you the reins. You can use the reins to lead your sheep out of the barn. Fodder (30g per a piece) - Of course you need to feed your sheep! You can buy it from Blue Sky Ranch, or you can grow the grass from Spring Farm, and use a sickle to cut them once they reach a full height. .TADA. Once you have proper equipment, plenty of fooder, and has a barn ready. You're now ready to buy a sheep! Head to Blue Sky Ranch, and you can make your purchase. The lamb will costs you 2,500g. It takes about 14 days for your sheep to mature into adult age. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ TAKING CARE OF YOUR SHEEP ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You will want to raise your sheep's affection much as you can possibly can. Higher sheep's affection, better chance of the sheep producing better wool. But it is not 100% all time. Even the sheep with ten hearts, can sometimes give you a dirty Wool. It just means that more hearts your sheep has, higher % for the sheep to produce Ordinary Wool or Shiny Wool. BRUSH ----- Use a brush on your sheep everyday. Your sheep will love it. TALK ------ Talk to your sheep everyday. HAND FEED - Hand feed your sheep with fodder. You can also leave your sheep outside so it can enjoy the sunny days, or at least cloudy days. But I definitely don't recommand that you leave your sheep during the rainy days. Otherwise your sheep will get sick, and lose some hearts. So I suggest that you keep checking your TV for weather forecasts. You should grow the grass field with your grass seeds, and leave your sheep to graze the grass field. Long as it's outside, and long as there're plenty of grass, you won't have to feed your sheep. --BOOK ABOUT GRAZING-- "To take the animals out of the barn, call them with a bell or lead them with their reins. Animals love to be at pasture. Letting them graze also means they will feed themselves. Don't let livestock out on rainy days or they might get sick." If the weathergirl says that there'll be a typhoon or snowstorm next day... (By the way, it means that you are unable to leave your house during the typhoon day, or snowstorm day so your livestock will suffer since no food) But there is a way to avoid this siutation, so if you find out that next day is dark one... Just hand feed your sheep, and leave a fodder in the box. So next day, your sheep will eat that fodder while you're stuck in your house. You can also use a miracle potion on your sheep. Your sheep will be pregnant, and give birth to a lamb! The sheep miracle potion costs 1,000g. --BOOK ABOUT ILLNESSES-- --BOOK ABOUT MIRACLE POTION-- "Animals can catch cold if exposed "Use potions on adult to the rain or snow. cows, sheep and horses. Make sure you cure them quickly Horses cannot race while pregnant. because sick animals die Pregnant animals cannot be sold." if they are ill too long." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ SHEARING, WOOL, MAKER ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once your lamb becomes the sheep of adult age. They'll grow little bigger, but size is not very impressive like the calf/cow. When the sheep mature into adult age, you can shear the wool from him now. Anyway, equip the Clippers and stand next to the sheep. Press X button, and you will proceed to shear a wool from your sheep. Once you're done shearing, you will hold a wool product. --SHEARING THE WOOL-- "Use clippers to shear wool from full-grown sheep. After shearing, the wool takes time to grow back. Note that shorn sheep can't be sold. Wool can be shipped as is or made into yarn with a Yarn Maker." You can ship that wool, or you can use the Yarn Maker to turn your wool into the yarn. By doing so, you will reach higher shipping rate with your yarn. Just remember that the sheep will not producing the wool everyday. It is weekly, so make a note of the day when you can shear your sheep. Yarn Maker - You can buy it from Junk Shop, for 4,000g --BOOK ABOUT THE MAKERS-- "Put ingredients in for processing. Cheese Maker: Turns milk into cheese Butter Maker: Turns milk into butter Mayo. Maker: Turns eggs into mayo Yarn Maker: Turns wool into yarn. Try cooking with processed food.
