You can buy your chicken from Blue Sky Ranch. Unlike all other animals, the chickens are easy to raise. You don't have to buy special tools in order to use on your chicken everyday, and plus the chickens are also cheap. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CHICKEN ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ .1. You will need a chicken coop. So buy a chicken coop from Woody's Workshop. The chicken coop will costs you 3,000g, and 30 lumbers. .2. You will need the bird feed so you can keep your chickens well fed, and have them laying the eggs. Bird Feed - (20g per a piece.) Animal Medicine - (800g) Be sure to have at least one medicine in stock, just in case your chicken get sick and Blue Sky Ranch is closed. Or you can grow the corns, and put them in the Windmill (which you will have to build first) The one corn will turn into the several bird feed. .TADA. Once you have plenty of bird feed, and has a chicken coop ready. You're now ready to buy a chicken! Head to Blue Sky Ranch, and you can make your purchase. The chicken will costs you 1,500g. Unlike other animals, the chickens are already matured, so it'll start laying the eggs right away. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ TAKING CARE OF YOUR CHICKEN~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You will want to raise your chicken's affection much as you can possibly can. Higher chicken's affection, better chance of the chicken producing better egg. But it is not 100% all time. Even the chicken with ten hearts, can sometimes give you a normal egg. It just means that more hearts your chicken has, higher % for the chicken to produce Good Egg, or Special Egg. TALK ------ Talk to your chicken everyday. HAND FEED - Hand feed your chicken with bird feed. WEEDS ----- All chickens loves the weeds, so feed the chicken with it. You can also leave your chickens outside, but I won't recommand it. It isn't worth it. The chickens won't lay the eggs outside, and you can feed the chickens some weeds to boost its affection quickly. So you don't have to leave your chickens outside to give it little boost in the affection, since the weeds are very best method. You can leave the chickens indoors, and it won't affect them very much. They won't get ill. If the weathergirl says that there'll be a typhoon or snowstorm next day... (By the way, it means that you are unable to leave your house during the typhoon day, or snowstorm day so your livestock will suffer since no food) But there is a way to avoid this siutation, so if you find out that next day is dark one... Just hand feed your chicken, and leave a bird feed in the box. So next day, your chicken will eat that fodder while you're stuck in your house. And remember, the weeds aren't the bird feed! Just think it as the special treats for the chickens. Your chicken will need a bird feed to eat. You can keep feeding your chickens with many weeds in one day. Usually, 25-30 weeds will increase your chicken's heart meter by one. You can use an egg, laid by the chicken, and put it in the box (top-right of inside chicken coop) Within a week, that egg will hatch and you have a chick! It's cheap, and saves money. --BOOK ABOUT ILLNESSES-- "Animals can catch cold if exposed to the rain or snow. You can cure sick animals with a dose of Animal Medicine. Make sure you cure them quickly because sick animals die if they are ill too long." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ EGGS AND MAYO MAKER ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your chicken will lay an egg everyday, long as you keep it well fed. You can ship the egg, or turn it into the mayonnaise, with help of the Maker. Mayonnaise Maker - Buy it at the Junk Shop, for 3,000g --BOOK ABOUT THE MAKERS-- "Put ingredients in for processing.
