You will find him at the Blue Bar on Friday night where he will complain of his lonely existence. Grant has expensive tastes. At the start of the game, he will be thrilled only with Wine purchased from Karen's Supermarket for 300G. He does like Bread, however, so that is the most practical gift for him if you are not rich enough to buy wine for him. Later, you will be able to cook some items for him. He is your rival for Mary's affections although he cannot interfere with your courtship as there are no rival heart events for any of the Mineral Town girls. Hardy:

Dr. Hardy is the local doctor in Forget-Me-Not Valley. He has quite a reputation and taught Trent, the Doctor in Mineral Town. Hugh will tell you that Dr. Hardy was kidnapped 'by some bad men and genetically modified', but this may be nothing more than a juvenile attempt to explain the doctor's bizarre appearance. Unlike other inhabitants of the Valley, Dr. Hardy may be the original Doctor from A Wonderful Life, rather than a descendant. At 6.00 a.m., you can find Dr. Hardy in his house. On most days, he will walk to the Waterfall but on Saturdays, he performs his 'house calls'. You will find him Saturday morning in Romana's bedroom, and at 3.30 p.m., he will visit Galen and Nina at their home. Hugh likes to walk to the Goddess Spring and can be found there most days. On Sundays, the entire family goes to the beach and can be found near the benches. Birthday: 29 Fall Murrey is a homeless chap, a wanderer who voluntarily left the urban lifestyle to live 'off the land'. He is an unashamed begger who claims no home other than the 'forest'. He is rather filthy, with creatures buzzing about his head at all times. If you fall unconscious when he is about, he will rescue you, but will pocket some of your money in the process. In AWL/AnWL, Murray would raid your freezer and storeroom without any hesitation. Murrey basically cheerfully will accept any item that is pleasantly edible, apart from wild grasses. He loves dairy products and eggs best. He can be found at the Villa many afternoons but stands near the Goddess Pond most often. You only can visit the house by climbing a rope ladder. They will be found in their tower at 6.00 a.m. each morning. Later, they work in their walled courtyard on new fireworks. One evening each week, they both can be found in the Blue Bar drinking. Birthday: 27 Fall Rick is Popuri's brother. Although in FoMT/MFoMT, Popuri often complained that he allowed her no responsibility with respect to the business, in this game, Popuri takes all telephone orders for poultry and poutry-related products and presides over the Duck Festival. On Sundays when the Poultry Farm is shut, both Rick and Popuri visit the Valley. Rick can be found in the 'boys' guest room' on the second floor of the Inn at 6.00 a.m. on Sundays mornings and next to the greenhouse staring at Vesta's northern field later in the morning as well as afternoon. Rick is in love with Karen, although there are no Rival Heart Events for Karen in this game, so he cannot interfere with your courtship of her. If you speak to Rick while he is standing next to the greenhouse, he will tell you: 'My mother is quite feeble. They say it's hereditary... I really need to work hard and support my family.' Romana is an extremely rich old woman who owns the Villa in the Northwest corner of the Valley. She is fond of practical jokes and is very strong- willed and opinionated but many events involve her and it is a good idea to raise her friendship level as quickly as possible. As all flowers will raise her FP by 9 points, it is very easy to win her friendship. Her butler Sebastian and her granddaughter Lumina live at the Villa with her. She never actually leaves the grounds of the Villa, but takes her 'constitutional' in the courtyard on sunny afternoons. She can be found at 6.00 a.m. each morning in her bedroom and in the late afternoon and evening, listens to Lumina play the piano in the main parlour of the Villa. On Saturday mornings, Dr. Hardy performs his 'house call' regularly to assess Romana's health. On this morning, she stays in her bedroom, attended by Sebastian. Her husband loves to travel and many of the exotic decorations at the Inn are souvenirs from his trips. Birthday: 23 Fall Sebastian is Romana's faithful retainer and he is almost a father figure to Lumina. He never leaves the grounds of the Villa and either can be found inside it or in the courtyard. He can be found in his bedroom (door to the right on the ground floor) at 6.00 a.m. At 7.00 a.m., he goes into the courtyard, where he walks until 11.00 a.m. In the afternoon, you will find him in the kitchen (door to the left on the ground floor). On Saturday morning, when Dr. Hardy makes a 'home visit' to Romana to assess her health, you will find Sebastian with Romana and the Doctor in her bedroom. Birthday: 25 Summer Thomas is Mayor both of Mineral Town and of Forget-Me-Not Valley. In Mineral Town, Zack is in charge of deliveries and shipping but in the Valley, Thomas is obliged to do the job himself. You can see him every day between 5.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. at the shipping container next to your farmhouse. On Sundays, you can find him from 10.00 a.m. at Romana's Villa next to the piano and for most of the day thereafter. Thomas evidently has a son, as he will refer to his son if you speak to him at the Villa. The identity of this son is unknown, however. He is not a character from Mineral Town. On 2 Winter each year, Thomas will come to you for help. He apparently has an unfortunate habit of making wagers with the mayors of other villages. The terms of the wager inevitably require that he provide a specific item to the other mayor. You are the one to whom he turns for supply of this item. He was Dr. Hardy's student before he qualified as a doctor and if you insert a copy of FoMT or MFoMT into your DS, Trent will visit his old mentor in the Valley every Wednesday when his clinic in Mineral Town is shut. He is your rival for Elli, although he will not interfere with your courtship as there are no rival heart events for the Mineral Town girls. On Wednesdays, both Elli and Trent can be found in their respective guest rooms at the Inn at 6.00 a.m. Later in the morning, they visit Dr. Hardy together. Birthday: 1 Fall Van is an itinerant merchant who sets up his stall on the 2nd floor of the Inn on days that end in 3 or 8.
